This Technote describes the various Macintosh-specific runtime properties that can be given to a Java application running on Mac OS X. The properties vary in function from feeding required information to a packaged '.app' Java application wrapper, to making a Java application more Mac-like.
Hello, everybody! 🙂
I need to get Java 2 runtime engine, release 1.4 or better, for Mac OS 9.0! In a nutshell, here's why: I need to install an application called Arachnophilia on my Mac Hard Drive. According to the main Web Page for Arachnophilia ( http://arachnoid.com/arachnophilia), I need to have Java 2 runtime engine release 1.4 or better in order for Arachnophilia to work on my computer system! The problem is, on the Apple.com Web site, they only seem to have Java softwar for Mac OS X and higher nowadays! 😟 If they ever used to have Java 2 release 1.4 (or better) runtime engine for OS 9, they don't anymore! 😟 Trying to find what I'm looking for using search engines doesn't seem to turn out anything useful, either! Surely, there MUST be somewhere where I can still find Java 2 release 1.4 (or better) runtime engine for OS 9, either on a Web site or on an FTP site! 🙂 For that matter, I think I might even already have it on my hard drive, but I don't know how to check! 😟 Can someone please help? Thanks in advance! 🙂 -- Smile and the whole world smiles with you! Evelyn L. Harvey [email protected]
